PRF

What is PRF?

A PRF treatment (Platelet Rich Fibrin also known as 'vampire facial') is a cosmetic treatment that involves using platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) to improve the appearance of the skin. The treatment involves drawing a small amount of blood and then using a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. The resulting PRF is then injected (mesotherapy) into subcutaneous regions of the face and/or applied topically. A microneedle may also be used. The platelets in the PRF contain growth factors that can stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, helping to improve the texture and tone of the skin. The treatment can help to tighten and lift the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

The frequency of PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatments for facial rejuvenation varies depending on several factors, such as the individual's age, skin condition, and desired outcome. Some people may need more frequent treatments to maintain the desired result, while others may only need occasional touch-up treatments.

Frequency

In general, it is recommended to have 2 to 3 PRF treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart and then 1 every 4 to 6 months for ongoing maintenance.

Skin Boosters

Skin Boosters... what are they?

Skin boosters are non-invasive cosmetic treatments that aim to hydrate and revitalize the skin from within. Some of the benefits of skin boosters include: Increased hydration: Skin boosters are designed to deliver hyaluronic acid and other skin-nourishing ingredients into the skin, providing long-lasting hydration and a plumper, more youthful appearance. Improved skin texture: The treatments can help to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improve skin elasticity, firmness and radiance. Boosted collagen production: Skin boosters stimulate collagen production, leading to stronger and healthier skin. Non-invasive procedure: Unlike surgery, skin boosters are a minimally-invasive procedure, meaning there is no downtime and no significant side effects. Quick and convenient: The procedure is quick and easy, typically taking less than 30 minutes, and can be done during a lunch break. Safe and effective: Skin boosters are safe and have been extensively tested and proven to be effective, providing long-lasting results.

Microneedling

Microneeding... what is it?

Microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy) is a skin treatment that involves the use of fine needles to create microscopic punctures in the skin. The benefits of this treatment include:

  1. Stimulation of collagen and elastin production: This can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.

  2. Improved skin texture and tone: Microneedling can help even out skin tone and texture, resulting in smoother, clearer skin.

  3. Increased absorption of topical products: By creating small channels in the skin, microneedling allows for better penetration and absorption of topical products such as serums and creams.

  4. Reduced appearance of acne scars: Microneedling can help improve the appearance of acne scars by promoting the growth of new, healthy skin.

  5. Non-invasive alternative to other procedures: Microneedling is a non-invasive alternative to other skin rejuvenation procedures such as chemical peels and laser treatments.

It's important to note that the results of microneedling can vary depending on individual skin type and condition.

Profhilo

Does 'Profhilo®' need its own section?

Treatment with Profhilo® improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo® is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenating the neck, décolletage, arms, knees and hands. How Does Profhilo® Work? Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore Profhilo® is a skin booster and has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.

Hair Restoration with PRF

PRP Hair Restoration for Natural Hair Growth and Confidence Boost!

Hair restoration with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a non-surgical procedure that uses the body's own platelets to promote hair growth and improve hair density. PRF is derived from a small sample of the patient's own blood, which is then processed to concentrate the platelets.

During the procedure, the PRF is injected into the scalp in areas of thinning hair or hair loss. The platelets release growth factors that stimulate the hair follicles, promote new blood vessel formation, and improve the overall health of the scalp. This process encourages the growth of thicker, healthier hair.

One of the significant benefits of PRF hair restoration is its natural approach. Since PRF is derived from the patient's blood, there is no risk of allergic reactions or adverse side effects. The procedure is also minimally invasive, with little to no downtime required. PRF treatment can be performed on both men and women and is suitable for various types of hair loss, including androgenic alopecia.

PRF hair restoration has shown promising results in improving hair density, reducing hair thinning, and increasing hair growth. It can also improve the texture and quality of existing hair. Over time, clients may notice a significant improvement in hair thickness and overall hair volume, leading to increased self-confidence and satisfaction with their appearance.

Biofillers

What are Biofillers?

Biofillers are a type of cosmetic treatment used to improve skin appearance by injecting your own gelified plasma  into the skin.

The Biofiller is obtained by drawing a small amount of blood and then using a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. The resulting PRF is then place into an incubator where it will attain the consistency of a filler which is then injected into subcutaneous regions of the face.

The main advantages of Biofiller skin treatments include:

Non-surgical: Biofillers are a minimally invasive treatment option that do not require surgery or extensive recovery time.

Immediate results: Biofillers provide immediate results with minimal downtime, so you can return to your normal activities right after the treatment.

Customisable: The amount of filler used can be customised to meet individual patient needs and achieve the desired results.

Natural-looking results: Biofillers can provide natural-looking results that do not appear artificial or fake.

Versatility: Biofillers can be used to address a variety of cosmetic concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss in the face.

It's important to note that Biofillers will not be rejected by your body as they come from your own plasma.

Fat Dissolving Injections

What are Fat Dissolving Injections?

Fat dissolving injections, also known as lipolysis injections, are a cosmetic procedure that involves the injection of a solution into specific areas of the body to break down fat cells. The solution typically contains an enzyme called deoxycholic acid, which is naturally occurring in the body and helps to break down dietary fat.

Here's how the process works:

  1. The solution is injected into the target area using a fine needle.

  2. The deoxycholic acid in the solution breaks down the cell membrane of the fat cells, causing them to collapse and release their contents.

  3. The body's lymphatic system then removes the broken-down fat cells and their contents.

  4. Over time, the treated area will appear smoother and slimmer as the fat cells are gradually removed by the body.

It's important to note that fat dissolving injections are not a weight loss solution, and they should only be used to treat small, localised pockets of fat. They are not recommended for large areas of the body on a regular basis or for overall weight loss.

In general, fat dissolving injections are performed every 4 to 6 weeks, with a series of 2 to 6 treatments typically needed to achieve the desired result. The number of treatments needed can vary depending on the size and number of fat deposits, as well as the individual's response to the injections.

Mesotherapy vs. Microneedling

OK... now I'm confused... so what's the difference?

Mesotherapy and microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy) are both cosmetic treatments used to improve the appearance of the skin, but they work in different ways.

Mesotherapy involves injecting a combination of vitamins, minerals, and other active ingredients into the skin's mesoderm (middle layer). The injections are designed to hydrate the skin, improve skin texture and tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, involves using a device with fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. The needle wounds trigger the skin's natural healing process, stimulating collagen and elastin production and improving skin texture, firmness, and radiance. Microneedling can be performed with or without the use of topical serums and can be combined with other skin rejuvenation treatments.

In summary, mesotherapy is a minimally invasive injection treatment used to deliver nutrients and hydration to the skin, while microneedling is a mechanical treatment used to stimulate collagen production. Both treatments have their own unique benefits and can be used to address specific skin concerns.
